ToggleA terrible accident happened on July 21, 2025, when an Air Force Jet Crashes into Bangladesh School. It was a training Aircraft from the Bangladesh Air Force which crashed into Milestone School & College in Uttara, a busy area in Dhaka city the Capital of Bangladesh.
The Air Force Jet crashes just after taking off from the nearby Kurmitola Air Base. It hit the Milestone school building while students were in class. Immediately after the crash landing, the jet caught fire and caused a huge explosion, with smoke and flames all over the sky.

Nearly 19 Dead, Over 160 Injured Till Now and Still Counting on the Air Force Jet Crashes Into Bangladesh School
As per India Today report, at least 19 people died, including the pilot and many students. Over 160 others were injured and the figure may be differ as rescue operation still continue. People nearby rushed to help for the needy people. Firefighters and medical teams worked quickly to save lives and take the injured to hospitals.
The scene was full of panic, with students running over the building premises, the buildings damaged and families of students are crying outside the school.

Heroic Pilot’s Last Attempt to Avoid the Incident
The Bangladesh Officials said that, the pilot, Flight Lieutenant Md Toukir Islam, tried to avoid crashing into homes and crowded streets. He tried best of his ability to turned the plane away but sadly couldn’t stop it from hitting the school. Sadly. he died in the crash.
This was one of the worst military plane crashes in the History of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Government Reaction on the Plane Crash
The Government of Bangladesh announced a Day of National Mourning on 22 July 25. Flags were flown at the half-mast across all over the country. Top leaders promised to find out what caused the crash. A special investigation team has been set up.
Students, parents and teachers were very upset on the event of tragedy. One student, Rafiqa, said, “Oh my God, it’s my school!” after getting this news ‘Air Force Jet Crashes Into Bangladesh School’.

Which Jet Crashed? And From Where it Imported?
The model of crashed jet was an F‑7 BGI, made in China. It’s a training fighter plane used for training of new fighter Pilot, Who are newly commissioned in the service. Bangladesh got these planes from China around 2011–2013. Experts say these planes are fast but old, and this is not the first time, this model also crashed in the past-from the history- one has crashed in South Asia.
Just weeks ago, India faced a major plane tragedy when an Air India flight crashed into a medical college hostel, killing hundreds of people. Many people are now asking if enough is being done to make flying safe in the region.

Response from Local people, Teaches and School Staff
After the Air Force Jet Crashes into Bangladesh School, people used whatever transport they could to shift the injured people to Hospital. They uses—ambulances, rickshaws, even private cars—to take the injured to hospitals. The school was full of over 2,000 students, was in full session when the crash happened.
Parents rushed to the school after knowing the incident, they are crying and searching for their children. Teachers and staff also joined for the rescue efforts, even carrying students out with their own hands.
