What is DA Increase (Dearness Allowance) And Why It Given To Employees?
DA is given to Central Govt. Employees to adjust the payment with the increment of inflation rate. Maine Diya is hike two times in a year, one in the month of January and another in the month of July. DA is increased in the view of AICPI (all India consumer price index) data. Expected DA Hike From July 2025
As per the Indian media house, it is expected that 4% increment in Ba is expected from the month of July to December 25. This will be the last increment of da under 7th CPC as government already declared 8th CPC and the effective date of implementation of 8 CPC (8 th Central pay commission) January 2026.

Fact of 4% Increment In DA
Has increased in the month of May by .5% and reached to 144. It is the continuous 3 month increment from March 25 to may 25. In the month of March 25, it was 143 and consecutively it is increased to the level of 144 in the month of May 25. data is released by Labour Ministry.
This move of increment of AICPI data to the level of 144, 4% DA increase is expected for Central Government employees as per the 7th pay commission rule of the increment. By this increment, DA will be approached to 58.85%. presently it is 55% with effect from January 25. If government will a round of it to 59% then it will be 4%. But if you look at the back in the month of December 24, as per the aicpi data the implement of da was 55.99% but government was not considered it as 56%. So you will look at back it will not be a good decision of expecting 4% increment in DA.
Expected time of announcement of DA
As discussed earlier increment of BA is depends upon aicpi data. AICPI data for the month of May released in first week of July so another one month e.i. June 25 data is required for final calculation of increment of DA from July to December 25. And it is expected the AICPI data will be released by Labour Ministry in the month of August 25. And after calculation of actual hike in Dearness Allowance will take place. Therefore, after completion of all process the final hike in Dearness Allowance will be decided in the month of September 25.
