Why fitment factor is so important
How much eight Central pay commission salary hike will be decided by the fitment factor. So the fitment factor is very important for a good salary hike for employees and pensioners. During 7th pay commission the fitment factor was 2.57. However, 1.86 was the fitment factor for 6th pay commission.
The key factor which manipulate the treatment factor
- The inflation rate of the country. The main factor who is influencer fitment factor. The committee analysis the inflation rate of the country and decide how much the inflation impact on the employees and the pensioners purchase power.
- Living expenses is also related to inflation rate and these also affect the treatment factor. Earlier pay commission decided 3 person family member to decide the living expense but demand from employees group to the committee to increase the family member to 5 person. If you accept by the committee then it will be a very good news for employees and pensioners.
- To decide the fitment factor market comparison is also very necessary like private sector pay scale and PSU.
